Ropstam is looking for a Game Development Manager who will drive and implement Ropstam’s game development strategy.
Game Development Manager
The Game Development Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire life cycle of video game development projects. This individual will manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with various departments, including game designers, artists, engineers, QA testers, marketing, and project stakeholders. The primary goal of the Game Development Manager is to ensure successful and timely delivery of high-quality games and products that meet the company's strategic objectives and delight the target audience.

DHA 2, Main G.T Road Islamabad, Pakistan
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end development process of video games and other products.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Track project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Supervise and motivate cross-functional development teams, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages innovative thinking and problem-solving.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, status updates, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine the product vision, goals, and features.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and market trends.
  • Align game development with the company’s overall strategy and business objectives.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards for games throughout development.
  • Oversee the game release process, ensuring all necessary preparations are in place.
  • Monitor performance after launch, collecting user feedback and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with teams to release updates, patches, and expansions to enhance the game performance and user experience.
  • Provide regular project updates and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, ensuring clear understanding of goals and expectations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in game development, computer science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience of 4-5 years in managing game development projects from concept to launch.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
  • Knowledge about APIs and libraries
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as C++, C#, etc.
  • Vast knowledge of Unity game engine.
  • Management experience of both 2D & 3D game development.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Deep understanding of the video game industry, market trends, and player preferences.
  • Familiarity with various development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Should be experienced with game management for Google Play and App Store
  • Should be good with numbers and familiar with all the KPIs of Games and Apps.
  • Problem-solving skills to address challenges and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Passion for gaming and a user-centric mindset to create exceptional player experiences.
