A woman is strong and invincible; whether she is a homemaker, teacher, engineer, doctor, or businesswoman, she works hard to make a better place with all her strength and determination. 8th March is International Women’s Day devoted to the achievements of women and seeking gender equality. Women’s day is celebrated with a theme; this year was to #BreaktheBias, where the campaigns urge people to break stereotypes and discrimination. These colors are white, purple, and green, where white indicates purity, purple indicates justice and dignity, and green indicates hope.
Women’s day is celebrated worldwide to empower women, especially working women working and managing their homes. Ropstam too decided to celebrate a small women’s day event for all the women, the day started with the same routine, and then HR notified all the ladies to gather up in the conference room to give them their gifts and for pictures.
Ropstam arranged very cute small goody bags with unique goodies like a trident, chocolate, chocolate chip cookies, and cal 1000 (bones strong tou mai strong) along with a pinkish purple and white tulip bouquet. Each goody bag had a small card with a motivational wish on it.
Everyone wrote a motivational quote on an A4 pink page for pictures. Gathered up next to the Ropstam logo for more group pictures, and then later, everyone went for official lunch by Ropstam altogether. All the ladies enjoyed and thanked CEO Wali Hassan for lunch and Amjad Mehmood, Operations Manager, for the gifts and bouquets.
The gift card and lunch won’t be of much value, but the kind gesture a company shows towards their female employees, which motivates them and gives them strength, is important. These small activities and events are necessary for keeping the employees engaged.
